Hello, I am Laura Johnston (formally Snyder) and I love placentas! I have struggled with depression for over half my life and was very concerned about postpartum depression even prior to becoming pregnant. My sister introduced me to the idea of placenta encapsulation and I instantly knew that encapsulating, serving new mothers in this way, was my life's purpose.
Honoring the placenta for the amazing work it has done growing and nourishing the baby by transforming it so it can give strength and nourishment to the mother is an honor every time.
I am the proud mother of two incredible, smart, silly, and brave daughters, now six and four. They are the joy of my life.
I first started encapsulating in 2010 and have completed over 5oo encapsulations for mothers in central Iowa and beyond. I am OSHA Certified in Blood Borne Pathogens and even used to teach the pathogen training classes. I have worked as a vet tech for the past 15 years, which comes with immense experience with sterilization, sanitary practices, as well as safety. I graduated with honors from Simpson College with a degree in English.
